Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ’s Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God. Within our Religious Education program, also known as Households of Faith, First Holy Communion usually takes place in Grade 2. This is a two year program, with preparation beginning in Grade 1. However, we will certainly work with children of any age to ensure the sacrament is received.

Please visit the Religious Education page to register your child. Registration can be completed either online or you may print out the forms and return them with the appropriate fee to our Religious Education Director, Mrs. Liliana Ronderos. If you have any questions, Mrs. Rondero’s can be reached at (941)756-3732, ext. 3113 or lronderos@sjcfl.org.
