Habitat for Humanity - St. Joseph's

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, nondenominational, Christian ecumenical housing ministry that welcomes people of all creeds and colours. We rehabilitate existing homes and build affordable, sustainable new homes for families in need.

Who do we serve?

We serve the people and families who live here in Manatee County and our parish with programs and projects designed to improve their quality of life through improving the durability or safety of their homes or safe access to their homes. We are also involved with working with our veteran community to help serve those people who have already helped served our nation.

Volunteer

Since 1994, Volunteers have played an essential role in the work of Manatee Habitat for Humanity to create a community where children and families have safe, sustainable and affordable homes. Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who provide their talent and time and treasure to Manatee Habitat we can continue to help local families create stability for their children and themselves and begin building for a successful future.

St Joseph Habitat Volunteers assist in all aspects of the work of the organization including construction, ReStore facilities and office operations. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities for individual ages 16 and up to match interests and availability.

To work on new construction or neighborhood revitalization projects, volunteer hours are available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 7:30-noon. Details on specifics times/locations for construction volunteer opportunities are available by contacting our Volunteer Program Manager at 941-748-9100 ext. 114.

To work at anyone of our two ReStore retail sales outlets, or to work alongside our administrative staff at our affiliate Headquarters, from Monday through Saturday please also contact our Volunteer Program Manager at 941-748-9100 ext. 110.
