Adoration Chapel / Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament

The hour before the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel is such a rewarding and blessed time; a time for prayer and reflection. The Adoration Chapel is open from 7am-7pm for scheduled adorers.  Drop in visits at the chapel are permitted. If you knock on the door of the chapel (which is clearly marked), an adorer will stop to open the door for you to enter.

We need some dedicated people who are willing to sign up for at least one hour per week to place themselves before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Are you willing?

To signup for an hour, scroll down to the form below.

To Sign Up

Please click here for a printable version of our Adoration signup form.  If you print and complete the form, please drop it off at the Parish Office OR place it in the collection basket when you come to Mass on Sunday.   If you prefer, just contact the Parish Office (941.756.3732 or click here to email St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Office), and we will be happy to get you signed up.

Adoration Chapel Etiquette:

Our adoration chapel is for SILENT prayer and adoration of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle.

Please turn your cell phone OFF or silence it.

Take all conversations and idle talk outside.

Do not eat or drink in the chapel. Step outside if you are hungry and need to eat a snack.

We have adorers from many languages and cultures. If you are praying out loud with another adorer and someone enters the chapel, please return to SILENT prayer.

We have Adoration in the CHURCH EVERY MONDAY after the 8:30am Mass until 10am. The Tabernacle in here should remain closed! Please join us in the main CHURCH to adore Jesus from 9-10am every Monday.

The same thing applies on First Fridays - Adoration is IN THE CHURCH after Mass. Please keep the tabernacle closed while Jesus is exposed in the main church and join us there until 10:15am.

Thank you.
