Respect Life Ministry
St. Joseph Parish Respect Life Ministry promotes Pope John Paul II’s beautiful encyclical The Gospel of Life. We provide educational information and plan activities that support and raise awareness about the many Life issues that influence our society ---- Abortion & alternatives, Embryonic Stem Cell Research, Project Rachel (post-abortion healing), Teen Chastity, Natural Family Planning, Catholic End-of-Life planning, Euthanasia, and the Death Penalty. Our activities include parish displays, Poinsettia Sale & Advent Gift Tree for SOLVE, Spiritual Adoption Program, Pennies for Babies for Catholic Charities, and participation in the diocesan 40 Days for Life, Sarasota Prayer Walk and Novena of Masses for Life, as well as other diocesan and national Masses & events that periodically occur.
